About Panama Sailing

More than boats.
A lifetime on these waters.

Some people visit Bocas del Toro. Others spend a lifetime learning its currents, reefs, islands and hidden anchorages. Panama Sailing was built around that knowledge.

Our Story

The sea came first.

Panama Sailing was born from a simple belief: the most authentic way to discover Bocas del Toro is from the sea.

Every island, coral reef, quiet beach and mangrove channel reveals something different when approached by boat. Rather than offering ordinary tours, Panama Sailing creates private experiences shaped by local knowledge, weather, tides and the interests of every guest.

Meet the Captain

Captain Daniel Ayora

Originally from Peru, Captain Daniel Ayora has spent much of his life connected to the sea. After living and working along different coastlines, he eventually chose Bocas del Toro as his home.

He arrived aboard Naylamp, the first vessel that would later become the beginning of Panama Sailing. Named after the mythical founder of the ancient Lambayeque civilization, Naylamp symbolized exploration, adventure and respect for the sea.

Over the years Daniel has contributed to Bocas del Toro beyond navigation, including community initiatives, support for local families and children, and the creation of an underwater museum built by hand beneath the Caribbean Sea.

The Bocas We Know

Experience shaped by local knowledge.

Some visitors see islands. We see changing tides, protected reefs, quiet anchorages and the moments when wildlife appears. That knowledge transforms a beautiful boat ride into a memorable day on the water.
